InUse ReUse
From initiating trading in late 2018 as a supplier to Lambeth Environment in response to waste management and redistribution of discarded wooden pallets from Brixton Market, we have evolved to offer solutions across a much-extended lifecycle of timber with a primary focus on pushing materials up the waste hierarchy. This has led us to develop internal capability, including
- outdoor projects which have covered highways, public realm, landscaping, gardens.
- indoor projects, which has covered refurbishments, fitout, bespoke furniture.
- we also have a very small upcycled and reuse retail operation
- alongside which we maintain our core of waste management and disposal services for various clients such as a few local construction contractors.
Having carbon reduction, materials efficiency, recycling, upcycling and reuse as the core drivers for the business has led to InUse-ReUse basing itself and its operations from a local co-work maker space called The Remakery. This is a community-led organisation and facility located in Lambeth is founded on the premise of reallocating discarded materials and preventing them from going to landfills. As a company with local roots, InUse-ReUse sees excellent social value in investing resources in supporting the community benefit aims of The Remakery and playing our part in strengthening local sustainability, resilience.
